I purchased this car for $400, badly slipping clutch and bad brakes.

Replaced the clutch pad with a used spare and the rear brake lines with the ones from my 84.

When this car was rear-ended, their insurance gave me $1500 for it.

Only time auto insurance ever did me any good... ;)

When I arrived on the scene, the rear window was upside down, in perfect shape.

I really didn't feel so bad about this because the tranny was starting to whine (pinion bearing) so it wasn't long for this world anyway.
